BIO
The name Kathak is derived from the Sanskrit word katha meaning story, and katthaka in Sanskrit means he who tells a story, or to do with stories. The name of the form is properly Kathak.
Tapash Debnath is a born Artist. He achieved Gold Medel . He also passed M.A. in Kathak in 1st class. He took training under Guru Bela Arnab for more than 20 years. His Guru taught him to worship kathak dance as god. He also work at Calcutta Interlink with mentally and physically challenged children by the method of dance therapy. Here Kathak create a new grace . He beleives performing art is a theraputic effect on human life. He also belives dance movements are the best communication media. In kathak dance form he found a devine sprite and he likes to perform Kathak dance with that sprite. His focus bring about peace and hermony in this innovative dance form. He took part the famous dancer Pt. Birju Maharaj direction Kathak Ballet Romeo Juliet.
